Pregnant in heels

9 weeks pregnant today, it’s going oh so fast, quite worrying really on how time flies.

I’ve found myself browsing mothercare as well as baby boutique online shops. I’m enjoying it more than I thought I would.

I’ve made myself some “mummy” friends, who are helping me and giving me advice on pregnancy, they’ve helped quite a bit, since I no longer feel alone and they’ve all given me such great advice. I’ve also made a few “new mummy” friends, women who are currently pregnant and going through the exact feelings/emotions that i’m going through.

I will admit my emotions have been all over the place, maybe cause of the rubbish situation {insert deadbeat father of my child here} i’m in but i’m just concentraiting on me for once in my life. At least I can’t let myself down!

Have found myself having a bit of “baby brain”, turning up to work meetings at 10am instead of 1pm, however this hasn’t stopped me, I’ve got more of an urge to make mega money and keep my brain uber active. I have a new business opportunity on the horizon and it will be put in motion soon!

I was talking to a close friend of mine, and told him i refuse to become a run of the mill mother, I will be pregnant in heels! I refuse to let myself “go” just becase it’s the “norm”, yes your child comes first however I still plan to spend time on myself!

So now my days consist of work and considering what to purchase for my baby! :D

Unluckiest Girl In The World

It’s funny how your life can come crashing down before your very eyes and theres nothing you can do about it.

A few weeks back, I claimed to be the luckiest girl in the world with the most amazing hubby, my world has been turned upside down once again by this man.

So my “perfect” hubby left me, a day after my grandfather died, this in itself was very heartless I found, especially how I hadn’t actually done anything wrong, there was no argument, just a call saying it was over.

A few days later I found out I was pregnant, as much to my dismay, however had a strong feeling towards my unborn offspring, despite the “ex” trying to push me into yet another abortion. I don’t know if this was because my grandad had just died and it made me realise how precious life is, or maybe because i’ve grown up quite a bit.

I tried being reasonable with my ex, I wanted him to be apart of our childs life, but for a reason still unknown, he has seemed to put his head in the sand in hope that the child will disappear. He attempted to get legal with me so I had to invest in a solicitor, which I only did to cover myself. I didn’t want all this legal crap.

He requested at first a pregnancy test and paterntity, I agreed (afterall i have nothing to hide), and was ready to book another Dr’s appointment, to which he then decided I was lying about being pregnant and wasn’t going to pursue for a test at this time?

Where is the logic in this? Am I the only one who thinks what he’s done is stupid? All my family and friends know about the child, infact they’re really happy for me. I was appauled at the fact he thought I was some sick liar!

I guess he thinks if he avoids the issue, it will go away … guess he’s right since i’ll never let him have anything to do with the child, EVER! At the end of the day if he’s going to be selfish from day 1, he’s not going to be the greatest father in the world and my child will probably be better off for not having him in his/her life.

If he didn’t want to be apart of our childs life, he could of just said, not upset me and try to stress me out with stupid shit.

I know I want this child more than anything in the world, I do feel sorry for him, he will never know our child, possibly the biggest mistake in his life he will ever make.

I’m very excited about my pregnancy and I may not have a “man” (if you can call him that anymore) in my life to share it with, I do have my family and friends who are as equally interested and have even offered to come to scans with me and such. This has kept me sane, and on the right track. I’ve been brainwashed / told to do whats best for baby and me. I know what that is now.

So I apologise if my blog turns into a babyblog, I guess it’s the best way I can share my thoughts now days.

The Luckiest Girl In The World

Being that my hubby is abroad in America, I was very surprised/shocked when this turned up unexpectedly.

It matches my handbag he bought me, so I am a very happy wifey ^_^ xx He’s so good to me, I really do feel like the luckiest girl in the world <3

After reading the 50 shades of grey triology, i’m very interested to see if my new book, Bared to you by Sylvia Day is written better like several reviews have suggested.

I have started reading but only just finished the first chapter, and it feels very much like 50 shades of grey, but by the sounds of it, Eva sounds like a much stronger woman than Ana from 50 shades.

Will re-blog about this when it’s finished and I then can give you my REAL opinion.

After using sunbeds and a few moles popping up afterwards, I thought it was safest bet to use a self tan in future.

So I got sent 2 bottles of Garnier - Self Tanning Mousse…

It claims to be a no streaks bronzer, however it is possible to streak if you’re not careful, it does help that the bronzer is brown and has a glittery sheen to it, a tan develops underneath a few hours later and the instant bronzer can be washed off then. It does still have a slight hint of tanning lotion despite it saying it doesn’t smell like it.

However the results are quite impressive, after washing off the bronzer about 5 hours after applying, this was what i was left with…

Would I use this product again?! Yes! A safe instant tan is the way forward

Today the postman bought me something yummy! I must say the packaging was full on, I wondered if The Soap Loaf Company actually wanted me to get into the parcel. Was layer upon layer of bubble wrap, so my soap was completely safe! Inside the bubblewrap was a little box, inside the box was my soap, which was all wrapped up in lovely paper with a lovely little tag which was “Coconut Dream”. The paper already had a lovely scent of sweet coconut, the only way I can explain how lovely it smelt is if you’ve ever popped into a Lush store.

The soap inside is beautiful, deep shade of pink fading to a pale white. The soap itself has a very strong smell, which reminds me of Lush’s “Angel Delight” so basically the same at a much cheaper price.

I however think I will have to keep this one away from the other half since he said it looks good enough to eat!

I found BagMeBeautiful whilst browsing twitter a few weeks back, as I like finding small companies with quality items for sale, I was REALLY REALLY impressed with “BmB” since unlike other companies bags, which look/are printed then painted, these were hand sketched from a photo of yourself, you can also personalise them with your name, however I opted out since I didn’t wan’t random’s knowing who I was haha!

These ladies are VERY talented their skills aren’t only drawing humans, they also can draw dogs etc.

Just though i’d share something which I’m a little proud of :) {smug face}

My other half’s alloys are NEARLY finished, this was a team effort since they originally had a coat of another colour on, so we spent many a weekend sat in the garage (in the winter - *shivvers*) with sheets of fine sandpaper and ”cold” water, slowly hand sanding off the paintwork and imperfections.

Many manicures later (argh) and we’re at the final stage, they are mirror polished but still need some more love and bits done to them.

My other half treated me to a new pair of shoes from @SparKylies . Considering they are custom shoes, they came awfully fast and I could not of asked for a more friendlier and quality service.

I can not fault Kylie at all, unlike some crystallers who end up with a shoe with crystals all over the place (no order to the crystals at all), Kylie’s are neat and immaculate!

Review: (Kleenex - Facial Cleansing Wipes Extra Gentle)

As previously blogged, I won a Kleenex Cleansing goodybag from @KleenexCleanse !

Today I tried out their Facial Cleansing Wipes (Extra Gentle of course)

I opened the packet and pulled one out, it was rather thick, infact at first I thought I had managed to pull several out! They have such a soft feeling and they are unscented too ! I looked at the back of the pack and it said this pack contained 24 wipes, which some of you may think (even I did) that this infact is not enough for many of you makeup lovers.

Seriously though, these wipes are pretty thick and excellent quality, you will only require one wipe to remove a whole face of makeup, it didn’t seem to spread the makeup all over my face (unlike rival wipes).

The are suitable for sensative skin, so that was an extra bonus for me but not only that, they are made with ecoform natural fibres, which means they have a lower environmental impact than a standard wipes material! How impressive is that!!

I’m very pleased Kleenex gave me the opportunity to try these wipes! I love them and won’t be buying anything else but them in future!

Pedigree Joint Care+ Challenge #playagain

Meet Ludo,

Ludo is a 8/9 year old Border Collie cross Husky and was rescue dog from Battersea Dogs home in Old Windsor. He had 2 previous owners before me, both of which took him to Battersea (Awwwwww poor pup) apparently this was due to both the couples splitting up and no longer could give him the time.

I adopted Ludo when he was 2/3 years old. I’ve had him 6 years now and he’s just adorable, however just like any dog, he’s getting on a bit. He’s not to the point where he’s too “stiff” to run however, he is old, so I would like to prevent that as long as I possibly can since he LOVES to run in his field, and it would be a shame for him to get a bit old before his time.

Pedigree were kind enough to let me join their Joint Care+ trial, and this morning Ludo opened a packet which contained the following…

2 packs of hard rubber balls, a thrower and also 6 weeks worth of Joint Care+

I love the fact the balls are solid rubber, since tennis balls get soaking wet and grubby, at least you can wipe these.

Being day 1 of the trial, Ludo was given his one stick of Joint Care+ which he WOOFED down (excuse the pun) in no time, being a very fussy dog, it’s difficult for me to get him to eat dog food, and he’s more partial to the steak on my plate then the dog food in his bowl. Not that I blame him! I find I usually have to put human food in his dinner to get him to eat his biscuits.

I will keep you all up to date how Ludo gets on and whether Pedigree Joint Care+ makes a drastic change in Ludo so he can #playagain.

Adult Novels

I ordered a book on Sunday from Amazon (£4.99) Titled 50 Shades Of Grey, I read online somewhere that it was one of those “Must Reads”, and well the subject of which it talks, is not something I shy away from, it apparently contains Romance, Sex, Bondage the lot!

However I am only on chapter three and well I must say I chuckled at the lead character, Christian Gray, going to a DIY store where the innocent, naive Anastasia Steele works, to buy cable ties, rope and masking tape… what is that going to be used for, hmmmm?

Anyway, moving swiftly on… i’m already deeply enthralled by this book. The book itself has a lovely feel to the cover, can only describe it as a “flock” feel, that and it makes me feel like I’m Anastasia Steele wanting Christian Grey (who is infact the book). I just cannot get enough!
